Being human is hard.
For many of us, the hardship started when we were still in the womb, and grows more complicated as we age. Whether your journey in life has been incredibly difficult and traumatic, or you consider yourself fortunate to have had minimal hardships in life, your life experiences are uniquely yours and incredibly important and impactful.
Traditional modalities of healing for mental health and trauma such as therapy, mindfulness practices, and physical activity are still key in a person’s healing journey, but what science has found is when psilocybin is introduced, in conjunction with the proper mindset & intentions, and within a setting where safety is a top priority, there are highly documented substantial benefits for those who deal with:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Addiction disorders
- Other mental health disorders
and has been shown, through various studies, to aid in:
- the healing of Trauma
- emotional support for End-of-Life acceptance.
Individuals
Studies document positive experiences such as:
- An increased rate of personal growth & self discovery
- Increased emotional resilience
- Emotional release
- Increased self-awareness
- A deeper understanding of one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
- Improved mindfulness and presence
- Increased life satisfaction and well-being
- A greater sense of meaning and purpose
- Enhanced creativity
- A deeper connection with nature
- A deeper connection with others
Veterans
Whether you served 2 years or 20+ years, serving our country alongside our brother’s and sister’s in-arms brings experiences that change us forever, whether they are the strong bonds created over training in miserable conditions or fighting in combat, or the traditions, rituals, and customs that create a sense of continuity and heritage. For some though, their service culminates in the flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, detachment, guilt and shame, irritability or aggression, trouble sleeping, and other symptoms of PTSD & CPTSD.
Studies with military veteran participants who integrated a psychedelic journey with their ongoing therapy reported:
- Reduced intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, and avoidance behaviors
- Enhanced emotional processing and increased emotional insight
- Increased connectivity and ability to create new perspectives
- Increased cognitive flexibility – [the cognitive processes that enable individuals to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully]
- Improved mood, well-being, and quality of life
- Enhanced sense of connectedness, unity, and transcendence
- Promotion of new neural connections and rewiring of maladaptive neural pathways – [the ability to change thought patterns and automatic responses]
- Long-term therapeutic effects

Terminally Ill
“From the moment we are born, we begin to die” – Janne Teller
Though not one of us will escape death, its timing and uncertainty can threaten to undo us. Psychedelic experiences can provide significant psychological and emotional benefits for individuals who are terminally ill. Terminally ill volunteer study participants reported positive effects such as:
Reduction of Anxiety and Depression: Psychedelics can help clients confront their fears about death and dying, leading to a decrease in existential anxiety and an overall improvement in mood.
Enhanced Emotional and Psychological Insight: Psychedelics can facilitate profound introspective experiences that help clients come to terms with their illness, life, and impending death. These insights can lead to a greater sense of peace and acceptance.
Spiritual and Mystical Experiences: Many clients report having deeply spiritual or mystical experiences during psychedelic sessions. These experiences can provide a sense of connection to a larger reality, reduce the fear of death, and offer a sense of meaning and purpose.
Improved Quality of Life: By alleviating psychological distress and improving emotional well-being, psychedelics can enhance the overall quality of life for terminally ill clients. This improvement can help them enjoy their remaining time more fully.
Reduction of Isolation and Enhancement of Relationships: Psychedelic experiences can foster feelings of interconnectedness and empathy, which may help terminally ill clients feel less isolated and more connected to their loved ones and caregivers. This can improve relationships and provide emotional support during a challenging time.
Facilitation of Emotional Expression: Psychedelics can help clients express and process emotions that might be difficult to articulate otherwise. This emotional release can be therapeutic and aid in psychological healing.
Acceptance and Preparation for Death: Psychedelic journeys can help clients explore and accept their mortality, making it easier to prepare for the end of life in a peaceful and reflective manner.
Diverse Communities
At Maslow’s we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all individuals are valued and respected. We believe that diversity and inclusion are essential to our and your success, and to the well-being of our employees, clients, partners, and communities.
Addictive Behaviors
We are deeply passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives. Those who suffer from addictive behaviors often face significant challenges with depression, anxiety, strained relationships, and low self-worth. We know that addictive behaviors are acted on when a triggered response follows a set neural pathway in the brain. Psilocybin allows the brain to create new neural pathways which can help in developing new, healthier habits and coping mechanisms. Our goal is to offer a supportive environment where your addiction can be understood and self-control strengthened so you can reclaim your life.
Experiencing a psilocybin journey together with your partner can be among the most beautiful and bonding experiences in life. Couples have reported experiencing:
Enhanced Emotional Bonding: Some studies suggest that couples who take psychedelics together may experience enhanced emotional bonding and intimacy. The shared experience can lead to a deeper understanding and connection between partners.
Improved Communication: Psychedelics have been reported to facilitate open and honest communication, allowing partners to discuss difficult topics and resolve conflicts more effectively, post-journey.
Shared Mystical Experiences: Experiencing a mystical or transcendent state together can create a profound sense of unity and shared purpose in the relationship.

Journeying together with other individuals in a group setting offers unique benefits both from the individual experience and from the dynamics of the group setting. Some of those benefits are:
Enhanced Social Bonding: Psychedelics can enhance feelings of empathy, connection, and understanding among participants. Sharing a psychedelic experience can lead to stronger social bonds and a sense of unity within the group.
Mutual Support: The presence of others can provide emotional and psychological support during the journey. Participants can offer comfort, reassurance, and grounding to each other.
Shared Insights: Group settings allow for the sharing of personal insights and experiences. This collective sharing can lead to a richer understanding of the psychedelic experience and can help individuals integrate their experiences more effectively.
Community Building: Participating in group journeys can foster a sense of community and belonging. This can be especially important for individuals who feel isolated or disconnected in their daily lives.
For upcoming group events, see below.
The mind enters a “critical period”, a.k.a “integration window” which is open anywhere from 2-4 weeks after a psychedelic experience. This “integration window” is a time when the brain’s neural plasticity remains more adaptive and open to change. During this time, individuals are more receptive to new insights, behavioral changes, and emotional processing. The integration window is crucial for embedding the lessons and insights gained during the psychedelic journey into one’s daily life, ensuring that the experience leads to meaningful and lasting transformation. Activities such as journaling, therapy, meditation, and discussions with supportive individuals can be especially beneficial during this period to help solidify the positive changes initiated by the psychedelic experience.
The Process
Schedule Consultation
A complimentary 20-minute video call to meet each other, talk about your questions, learn a bit more about the potentials of this healing modality, and together make an educated decision whether a psilocybin journey is the right fit for you.
Preparation Session(s)
Preparation is key to a successful journey. During your 1 – 2 prep sessions we’ll review your answers on your client intake form, fill out the Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) required paperwork, and explore your intentions, expectations, hopes, and concerns. We’ll collaborate on your dosage and create a comfort plan for your administration session. As with every step, we’ll address all questions you have.
Administration Session
Administration is the day of your journey. You’ll familiarize yourself with the space, we’ll revisit your intentions, hopes, and concerns, and share any final questions. Once you are comfortable you’ll consume the psilocybin tea and relax in as the tea begins to guide you toward your inner healing intelligence, where all you’ve learned and what you know to be true comes into alignment with your heart and feelings, all while your facilitator ensures your comfort and safety.
Integration Session
Following your psychedelic journey, we’ll use tools drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), shadow work, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to work together and create an individualized integration plan. This plan will aid in embedding the lessons and insights gained during your journey into your daily life, ensuring that the experience leads to meaningful and lasting transformation.
