A cool glass of water, a tiny
pill to take
a muffled world, hope
at stake
the eternal gray, time
does implore
a tiny pill to take
no more
earths cycle of strife
the birth of a fungus,
the gift of fresh life
ancestors, a wisdom imbued
that tiny mushroom, hope
forever renewed
beliefs that carve a path
pain, a family treasure
passed on
mind opened wide,
atop beautiful parts, darkness
spawn
grief, a heavy cure
then breath does restore,
a light so free, never again
held down, never to ignore
the beauty of a new dawn
these different days, the gray
is gone,
my calling clear
to shepherd others,
the mushroom and me,
wisdom, sincere.
